services.
Sample Emergency Response
Projects:
Canada
Hydrocracker Charge Heater completely
destroyed because of tube rupture and secondary explosion. The heater coil
consisted of thick, 347H S.S. materials. In 2.5 weeks after award of
contract, 43.5 metric tons of pipe was delivered to Tulsa by chartered
airplane from a tube mill in Europe. The new 46.0 MM BTU/HR heater was
fabricated and delivered to the job site 7 weeks after receipt of the
contract. The start up of the heater was 4 months ahead of original planned
refinery schedule.

Kansas Gas Plant
A 33 MM BTU/HR Regeneration Gas Heater
was completely destroyed in an explosion. PC-PFS located a replacement
heater in one day and flew with Corporate personnel to examine the condition
and acceptability of existing heater coil and layout. The heater selected by
PC-PFS met the process requirements of 1000 psig design pressure and a
process pressure drop of less than 7.5 psi. The heater was loaded on trucks
4 days after receipt of notice to replace the heater and arrived at the job
site the next day. Total time to deliver a replacement heater was less than
1 week.
PC-PFS also handled the
turnkey erection phase of this project. The heater, including new
instrumentation, was on-line one month after the explosion. Since the entire
gas field was out of production during the heater outage, time was of the
essence. By placing an order with PC-PFS, the gas field was back in
production 3 months ahead of original schedule.
Jamaica
Fire destroyed all but the stack and
foundations of a 23.2 MM BTU/HR Gasoline Reformer Heater with a stud tube
convection section. PC-PFS was able to locate the pipe and fittings
necessary to complete a new radiant and convection section. PCD opened a
one week slot in an already booked stud machine shop schedule, so that
PC-PFS could deliver a new heater in less than 5 weeks from the date of
the order. This work was completed 3 months ahead of the next best schedule
proposed by other company.
