Specialist:
Job Description:
Progressive fired heater company servicing the oil
refining and chemical industries requires
experienced QA/QC Inspection Specialist in our Houston
office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform
visual and Mechanical Inspection using documented
inspection procedures to confirm compliance when
documentation is available.
- Perform Work In Progress Inspection in the absence of
documented inspection procedures using initiative,
experience and training to insure that quality product
is provided to customers.
- Assist Quality Engineer in the development of
documented inspection procedures for new and revised
products (ISO 9001 Certified).

Communicate with vendors regarding nonconforming product
and process improvements.

Maintain records of conforming and nonconforming
materials.
-
Trouble shooting and reverse engineering skills required.
Job Qualifications:
- Experienced in Mechanical, Structural and Piping
Design & familiar with AISC, AWS, ASME Codes &
Practices, API, NDE Testing Technique (MP, RT, PT, VT –
Certification in NDE methods is a plus).
- Ability to interrupt blue prints, specifications and
documents.
- Ability and willingness to travel both domestically
and internationally.
Required Skills:
Formal training with 3 or more years of experience in a
related industry required.
Computer
skills including Microsoft Office and email
correspondence.

Process Engineer:
Job Description:
Petro-Chem Development Co., Inc. is one of the world’s
leading providers of process heaters and furnaces for
oil refineries and petrochemical plants in the world. We
are looking for someone to manage the process side of
our field service division.
This is a permanent, full-time position. Company
benefits include health plan and 401-K.
Primary Responsibilities:
-
Develop fired heater designs using contractor, client,
and industry specifications.
-
Assist business development and project teams in
developing technical solutions, scope definition,
capital estimates, and sales presentations for new and
retrofit heater applications.
-
Prepare equipment process data sheets, and provide
technical assistance to the engineering team during the
detailed design phase of projects.
-
Participate in proposal design and estimate reviews.
-
Support commissioning, performance testing, and
troubleshooting.
Job Qualifications:
-
B.S. in Chemical Engineering with focus
on process design and emphasis on applied heat transfer.
-
Five (5) to seven (7) years experience in direct-fired
heater design, revamping and troubleshooting.
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
-
Experience using PFR FRNC5 software preferred.
